Started playing squash in 1976 after graduating as a Civil Engineer from WITS University. He met his wife Jean when he did his masters at City University, London. After returning back to SA they built the Parkview Squash Centre in the suburb of Parkview. Squash was very popular in the 70/80 and grew from strength to strength under their leadership.
Chris has served on many committees during his involvement with squash and was the Chairman for Gauteng Squash from 1992 – 2001. He also served on the SA Squash committee for 5 years and is currently on the Joburg Masters Committee.
He has played masters squash since 1991 and participated in more than 10 International Masters events. He was the tournament Chairman for 3 Jarvis/Kaplan Cup events and the World Masters event in Johannesburg in 2016
